20th-Anniversary Celebrations Coming Early to MCM Comic Con

We’ve all been counting down the days until it’s time to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the publication of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. Bloomsbury UK has decided, however, to kick festivities off early, at the upcoming MCM London Comic Con, which takes place May 26–28.

Bloomsbury has announced that the special hardback House editions of Philosopher’s Stone will be available from its stand over the weekend. Only 50 copies of each House will be available each day, however, from 11:00 a.m., so if you’re after your early copy, then you’ll have to make sure to get there as soon as possible. The books will be priced at £10 each.

Even if you miss out, it’ll be worth heading to Bloomsbury’s stand so that you can help celebrate the anniversary. There will be a photo booth at the stand, where you will be able to choose your House and receive a digital and physical photograph! It sure sounds like something you wouldn’t want to miss out on.

If you miss it or can’t get to the event next weekend, then don’t worry. The hardback – and paperback – House editions of the books will be released on June 1 and can currently be pre-ordered from Bloomsbury. The hardbacks retail at £14.99, and the paperbacks at £7.99.
