“Captain on the Bridge!” First Look at Jason Isaacs as Captain Lorca!

We’ve been waiting “patiently” for a look at Jason Isaacs’ character in Star Trek: Discovery, ever since it was announced that he would be sitting in the captain’s chair for the upcoming CBS series.

The wait is over, Vulcans, Klingons, Romulans, and humans alike! Entertainment Weekly has given us the first look at Captain Gabriel Lorca!

Isaacs has traded in the signature Slytherin green and black for a dashing blue and gold, and it’s safe to say that the captain colors suit him!

We also get a tiny glimpse at the bridge of the USS Discovery in this photo! Everything surrounding the USS Discovery has been tightly under wraps. The ship that is captained by Captain Philippa Georgiou in the recently released trailer is the USS Shenzhou.

Isaacs co-stars in the show alongside a diverse and immensely talented cast, featuring Sonequa Martin-Green as First Officer Michael Burnham, Michelle Yeoh as Captain Philippa Georgiou, Maulik Pancholy as Chief Medical Officer Dr. Nambue, Chris Obi as Klingon Leader T’Kuvma, and Doug Jones as Science Officer Lieutenant Saru.

Star Trek: Discovery premieres on CBS on September 24, 2017.

Isaacs has really been keeping busy, and we were also recently treated to the first full trailer for the upcoming animated film Happy Family, where he voices everyone’s favorite vampire, Dracula.
