Social Media Roundup: “As Green as a Fresh Pickled Toad…”

by Shelby Dale DeWeese · February 14, 2018

From the boxes of chocolates and conversation hearts at the grocery store to the romantic posts filling up social media feeds, there’s no denying it: Love is in the air! Many Harry Potter stars took to social media to share what they’re celebrating this Valentine’s Day, from significant others to moms to … bacon?

Chris Rankin (Percy Weasley) shared a selfie with his girlfriend, Vanessa Beecroft, including his definition of love.

Verne Troyer (Griphook, Sorcerer’s Stone) showed his love this Valentine’s Day by sharing a sweet photo of himself with his mother.

Jessie Cave (Lavender Brown) also shouted out to her mother today in a sweet appreciation post on Instagram.

Unsurprisingly, Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood) used the holiday to share one of her great loves – cats!

Meanwhile, Natalia Tena (Nymphadora Tonks) retweeted a romantic bacon poem, celebrating Bacon Day as opposed to Valentine’s Day.

And Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley) may not have written an embarrassing love poem for Harry this year, but she did remind all her followers that they are loved, loving, and lovable with a bright bouquet.

Who (or what) do you love this Valentine’s Day? We hope it’s been a magical day!

Potter Quote

“You’ve picked the losing side, Potter! I warned you! I told you you ought to choose your company more carefully, remember? When we met on the train, first day at Hogwarts? I told you not to hang around with riffraff like this!”
