UPDATED: Celebrate House of MinaLima’s Second Birthday!

It seems like only yesterday the wonderfully quirky House of MinaLima opened its doors, but this week, our favorite graphic design house turns two years old!

To celebrate, House of MinaLima will be hosting a “Golden Week” from Saturday, June 2 to Sunday, June 10. Visitors will find out the secrets to some of the more sparkling Potter prints, learn how to make their own gold foil designs, and of course, sample some birthday cake!

 

 

But what exactly is Golden Week? Keep reading to find out how you can help celebrate House of MinaLima’s birthday!

Each weekday during Golden Week, Miraphora Mina and Eduardo Lima will be in residence from 5:30 p.m. BST for “Golden Nuggets.” The graphic design duo will be on hand to answer questions and talk about their favorite designs from the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts series.

On Monday and Tuesday, visitors to the house will see everything in a different light. The free tour will reveal the secrets of gold foiling (a technique used in graphic design) along with just what makes a premium print, premium.

Wednesday, June 6 is the big day! To celebrate its second birthday in style, House of MinaLima invites visitors to put on their sparkliest gold outfit and enjoy golden birthday cake from 5:30 p.m. BST.

Continuing the birthday celebrations, papercraft workshops will take place throughout Thursday and Friday. These free workshops will teach visitors how to make their very own gold-tipped memo, perfect for sending important messages (or birthday wishes) to family and friends.

To celebrate even further, those who purchase a premium print at House of MinaLima during Golden Week will get a chance to draw from a grab bag and win a golden prize! For those who can’t visit this week, there’s still a chance to celebrate. Posting a picture of your most desired premium print on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter with the hashtag #houseofminalima will give you the chance to win brand-new notecards!
