Casting Call: San Francisco Production of “Cursed Child”

Despite recent legal obstacles, the San Francisco production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is still planning to open in fall 2019 at the Curran Theater.

In a roundup of regional casting opportunities, Backstage reported that the upcoming Bay Area production of Cursed Child is casting Equity actors for all roles, including Harry, Ginny, and Hermione.

The call is open to actors of all ethnicities, ages eight and older. The auditions will take place next week, October 16–18, in Berkeley, California. Rehearsals for the production will begin next summer ahead of the fall 2019 opening. Actors who are cast will be signed to an Equity Production (League) Contract and paid a weekly minimum of $2,095.
