Rare “Sorcerer’s Stone” Fine Art Prints Released

by Montana Schrader · January 31, 2019

A limited-edition collection of photographic prints showcasing scenes from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone has been released by Classic Stills in collaboration with Warner Bros. Consumer Products.

Classic Stills is a Los Angeles- and London-based publisher of licensed, rare fine art prints from the entertainment industry. It strives to produce high-quality prints that are emotionally stirring and affordable for fans.

From Harry’s first trip to Diagon Alley and his visit to the Restricted Section to Ron’s iconic line “I’ll be a knight,” the rare photographs, developed with chromogenic printing and individually hand framed, depict a selection of the most unforgettable cinematic moments found in Sorcerer’s Stone.

This is a thrilling moment for Harry Potter fans. Being able to purchase high-quality prints that can live on in the home for years to come adds a new dimension to how we can all enjoy the magic of the wizarding world in our homes.

The new collection features 25 photographs taken on the set of the film, and 100 copies of each will be printed and numbered, as well as delivered with a certificate of authenticity. Each photo is framed in black wood with acid-free matting and hinging, and a UV acrylic screen protects the image from fading over time. The prints are available for purchase in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Ireland, and select countries in mainland Europe.

In addition to the Sorcerer’s Stone collection, prints of the subsequent films will be released in the future. Classic Stills will host a competition for fans who would like to win their chosen print and secure the achievement of curating an official fine art prints collection for Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.

Press Release

LOS ANGELES, CA, January 30, 2019: Classic Stills, a Los Angeles and London-based publisher of rare and iconic photographs, in collaboration with Warner Bros. Consumer Products, has launched a limited-edition collection of photo images from the first Harry Potter film, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.

“This is a thrilling moment for Harry Potter fans,” said CEO Rene Freling. “Being able to
purchase high-quality prints that can live on in the home for years to come adds a new dimension to how we can all enjoy the magic of the Wizarding World in our homes.”

The 25 images feature on-set photography that captures some of the most iconic scenes, characters and locations from the film.

Further collections from the Harry Potter film series are being planned and will be released in the same order as the films. Fans will also get their chance to help curate the next collection, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, by entering a competition to nominate which scene or moment from the film they would most like to hang on their wall.

The winner will win the #1 print of their chosen moment, as well as lay claim to being
the first fan to curate a collection of fine art prints from a Harry Potter movie.

100 individually-numbered prints of each photo are available. Each print comes hand-framed and is presented with a Certificate of Authenticity. Prices start from $149 / £125.

All Classic Stills images are developed using the chromogenic print (C-print) process and are printed on archival-quality photo paper. Every print is framed meticulously by hand, includes acid-free matting and hinging, and is protected by UV acrylic to prevent fading.

The Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone collection will be available for purchase in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland and select countries in mainland Europe.
