Social Media Roundup: Fun at Universal Orlando Resort

Welcome back to another edition of Social Media Roundup! This week saw a number of Potter alumni reuniting in Orlando, Florida, for the opening of the newest attraction at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure.

Rupert Grint, Tom Felton, Oliver Phelps, James Phelps, Warwick Davis, and Evanna Lynch were all in attendance for the opening of the new ride.

The stars took to social media to share the experience of the event with their fans, with James Phelps sharing the moment he and Oliver stormed the stage in a motorbike and sidecar.

Hagrids Magical Creature Motorbike Adventure is now open! I actually learned how to ride a motorbike for this. Not a bad one to learn on. The ride honestly is out of this world and I can’t recommend it enough. #hagridsmagicalcreaturesmotorbikeadventure #universalorlando #wizardingworldorlando

The ride itself had also had rave reviews, with Oliver Phelps calling it the best ride in history!

While they were in Orlando, some of the alumni took the opportunity to explore the rest of what Universal’s Islands of Adventure has to offer. However, before he left the Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade, Oliver Phelps took a stroll through Diagon Alley to check on business at the Weasley twins’ joke shop.

Away from Orlando, Warwick Davis had another fun Potter experience at the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter. Davis was checking in on an exhibit of all of the characters he played in the series.

And what’s a trip to the Studio Tour without a cool photo opportunity? Davis relived his time as Griphook with the photo experience in the Lestrange’s vault in the new Gringotts expansion.

Across the pond, Matthew Lewis had fun visiting the Los Angeles Dodgers baseball team.
