Review and Giveaway: Win a HARRY POTTER™ HOGWARTS™ Wall Clock from the Bradford Exchange!

by Gretchen Roesch · October 11, 2019

Step into the wizarding world every hour with the HARRY POTTER™ HOGWARTS™ Wall Clock from The Bradford Exchange! Our News Team Manager, Gretchen Roesch, was able to review this beautiful timepiece. Take a look and enter to win it for your own magical collection!

I might be a little obsessed with nerdy things that look fancy (Hogwarts House flatware? Check. Potter cookie cutters? Got ’em). Now there’s a new nerdy item that I can add to my collection. The Bradford Exchange has released the beautiful HARRY POTTER™ HOGWARTS™ Wall Clock, which is absolutely perfect for your home’s library.

I’m currently collecting the village sets, so I know how intricate and high-quality The Bradford Exchange’s products are. When the wall clock arrived, I couldn’t believe how large it was! It’s quite heavy and feels like it’s very well made.

The HARRY POTTER™ HOGWARTS™ Wall Clock is sturdy and heavy!

The clock is much sturdier and heavier than the village pieces because it has a few more working pieces to it. You’ll need three AAA batteries and one AA battery to get your clock up and running. On the side of the clock are two buttons: one to adjust the volume and one to test the motion, noise, and lights. The buttons are hidden into the design of the clock so you’ll never notice them when it’s on display (you can just see one peeking out on the left of the image below).

The wall clock features a moving Hogwarts Express on the bottom, right above a large Hogwarts crest. Harry, Ron, and Hermione stand on the clock tower with wands out. Behind the figures is the beautiful clock face, and Hogwarts looms in the background. Hedwig is flying above the characters’ heads as well! All the pieces together, it’s a beautiful scene and a stunning clock for your wall.

The clock is extremely heavy, so it made me a little nervous to have it on my wall. I ultimately decided to put it on the top of my bookshelf next to my Triwizard Cup and Harry penguin, and I love how it looks there.

If you leave the volume of the clock on, it will activate the lights, music, and motion every hour. If you’d rather just activate it when friends come over, you can just turn up the volume and push the button on the side. When it does activate, the clock is an incredible sight! Check it out in the video below.

Did You Know

When Arthur Weasley takes Harry Potter to the Ministry of Magic, they must first dial a secret code into a telephone keypad. He enters the number 62442. The letters underneath those numbers on a standard mobile phone spell out the word “magic.”

Potter Quote

“Well – it’s just that you seem to be laboring under the delusion that I am going to – what is the phrase? – come quietly. I am afraid I am not going to come quietly at all, Cornelius. I have absolutely no intention of being sent to Azkaban. I could break out, of course – but what a waste of time, and frankly, I can think of a whole host of things I would rather be doing.”
