Review and Giveaway: Win a “Harry Potter” Mega Bundle from Paper House Productions!

by Julianna Coughlin · November 11, 2019

There are few things that bring this lifelong Hogwarts student joy like stationery and stickers. I am someone who is constantly ogling over printed paper, living out of my planner, and sticking stickers on EVERYTHING. Thus, I was thrilled to receive this Harry Potter mega bundle from Paper House Productions in the mail.

This mega bundle came with the following:

  • 4 sheets of Harry Potter Weekly Kit Planner Stickers
  • 2 puffy paperclips
  • 4 rolls of washi tape
  • 1 Harry Potter Hogwarts Crest Softcover Journal
  • 1 Harry Potter 12-Month Mini Planner
  • 1 Harry Potter Glow-in-the-Dark Mini Puzzle
  • 6 12″x12″ double-sided sheets of decorative paper

All of these products are clearly of high quality, but the planner is by far the standout in my eyes. The outside has a plastic-laminated cover adorned with the Hogwarts crest and is spiral bound for easy flipping. The planner is divided into 12 sections, each with a themed House or Hogwarts image divider for each month. Behind each divider is a full monthly calendar and then four weeks of weekly spreadsheets. All these pages are undated and unlabeled beyond the day of the week. This makes this planner even better, as you can start using it during any year. As it states, it is a mini planner and measures 6″x7″. For me, this is ideal, as I like having a planner I can easily carry around in my bag or purse. Though if you are looking for a planner to write daily monologues in (as I imagine Voldemort would be) this may be too small for your liking. As I already have a 2019 planner, my plan is to use this planner for the coming 2020 year and show off my Hogwarts pride.

The other standout items to me were all the stickers. This package came with four different sticker sets: characters, large House crests, various mini-stickers, and iconic magical items. The characters and large crest stickers appear to be made of high-quality plastic and would be durable to wear and resistant to water hazards. One of my biggest qualms with stickers is when they are made of paper and meet water, they then disappear immediately. With these stickers, that does not seem to be the case. I have used these stickers to decorate the planner and my water bottle. They would definitely add some fun flair that shouts “I love Harry Potter!” to any boring Muggle item.

I also used the stickers to decorate the journal, though it did not need it. This journal is very classy and sleek, with its crimson cover embossed with a metallic gold Hogwarts crest. The interior has a place for your name and/or contact information in case you lose the journal. The interior is just plain, school-ruled journal paper. Overall, I found this journal very classy and elegant.

In regard to the stationery items, this bundle came with four rolls of washi tape and six pieces of 12″x12″ scrapbooking paper. The washi tape was half Quidditch and half Patronus themed. They stick well and would be great for any decorating needs. The papers included one of Hogwarts Castle, one of large Harry Potter symbols, and one sheet themed for each Hogwarts House. This paper is a good, quality, thick scrapbooking paper — the same quality you would find in a high-end crafting store. I really enjoyed the Hufflepuff paper, and I am excited to create some cards and decorations to show off my House pride.

Lastly, the puzzle proved to be adorable but very easy to assemble. With only 28 pieces, this is clearly a puzzle for either a child (ages 3+) or a complete puzzling newbie. That being said, I really loved how cute all the characters are and how it glows in the dark, though it would be cool if more of it were glow in the dark than just the outlines. I have assembled the puzzle and plan to leave it on display on my coffee table as a cute Harry Potter accent in my decor.

Overall, I really enjoyed this bundle. All of the products are of high quality and do a great job of conveying the Harry Potter theme. My favorite is the planner, and my second favorite would be the stickers. Any of these products would make a great gift for that organized and sticker-obsessed wizard or witch in your life.

It’s high time I paid homage to the mighty MuggleNet. Where to start? I love the design, (I currently favour the ‘Dementor’ layout), the polls (I actually voted in the ‘Who’s the Half-Blood Prince?’ one), the pretty-much-exhaustive information on all books and films, the wonderful editorials (more insight there than in several companion volumes I shall not name), 101 Ways to Annoy Lord Voldemort (made me laugh aloud), the Wall of Shame (nearly as funny as some of the stuff I get)… pretty much everything. Webmaster Emerson, Eric, Jamie, Damon, Ben, Matthew, Rachel, Jaymz and Sharon, I salute you.

Did You Know

Quidditch started in the 11th century at a place called Queerditch Marsh, which is not marked on Muggle maps because wizards have made the place unplottable. Originally, it was quite a crude game played on broomsticks with just the Quaffle.

Potter History

July 23, 2007 – Scholastic announces Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows sold 8.3 million copies in the Unites States within its first 24 hours.

Potter Quote

“Cedric was a person who exemplified many of the qualities that distinguish Hufflepuff house. He was a good and loyal friend, a hard worker, he valued fair play. His death has affected you all, whether you knew him well or not. I think that you have the right, therefore, to know exactly how it came about. […] Cedric Diggory was murdered by Lord Voldemort.”
