Social Media Roundup: Showing Support and Keeping Busy at Home

by Sarah Wylde · April 5, 2020

Welcome back to another Social Media Roundup! In this edition, the stars of the Wizarding World share what they have been doing to keep busy during self-isolation, give thanks to front-line workers, and share words of wisdom.

Giving thanks to all the front-line workers during this trying time was Katie Leung (Cho Chang), who shared a video of people clapping and cheering from their homes.

Emma Watson did the same. Every Thursday at 8:00 p.m. in the United Kingdom, the public joins together to clap and cheer for the National Health Service and other key workers.

Watson also emphasized the importance of staying home.

My grandma is over 70, so particularly vulnerable… My Mum is a type 1 diabetic and my best friend is a health care professional. #Istayhomefor them. ❤️ Who are you staying home for? ⁣ Sending love. E xxx ⁣ Thank you to @michelleobama for the tips. 🙏

While his brother, Oliver Phelps (George Weasley), retraced the time he has spent in stadiums and arenas through the years.

Whilst in lockdown, this morning I spent my time retracing the stadiums / Arenas i've been to over the years…. and yes it is raining outside today 🤪 pic.twitter.com/xkEmjCKxsi

Your health. Mental well being. Overall personage is more important than any business or government. Just remember that. 🖤 x
