by Mary Wojcicki · May 20, 2020

Another chapter of the first Harry Potter book has made its way to Wizarding World Digital’s Harry Potter at Home. This time, it’s “The Journey from Platform Nine and Three-Quarters,” as read by the cast of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child on Broadway!

As introduced by Wizarding World Digital, the reading of the latest chapter is led by Jamie Parker as the narrator.

For Chapter Six, it’s a Cursed Child special, with several members of the Broadway cast reading for you today, helmed by the production’s original Harry, Jamie Parker. Jamie starred in both [sic] the original West End production as Harry Potter, before reprising the role on Broadway.

Each of the other cast members voices a character in the chapter. A separate guide provides more information on each of the cast members featured in the video:

Did You Know

Quidditch started in the 11th century at a place called Queerditch Marsh, which is not marked on Muggle maps because wizards have made the place unplottable. Originally, it was quite a crude game played on broomsticks with just the Quaffle.

Potter Quote

“Cedric was a person who exemplified many of the qualities that distinguish Hufflepuff house. He was a good and loyal friend, a hard worker, he valued fair play. His death has affected you all, whether you knew him well or not. I think that you have the right, therefore, to know exactly how it came about. […] Cedric Diggory was murdered by Lord Voldemort.”
