Chapter 5 of “Philosopher’s Stone” Is Here for Harry Potter at Home

Wizarding World Digital has returned with Chapter 5 of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, “Diagon Alley.” Bonnie Wright, Evanna Lynch, and fellow actor Simon Callow have joined the team of stars to read for Harry Potter at Home.

This trio brings excitement to Chapter 5, and two of these three stars shared something about this special project. This is what Wright shared about the magical experience with Harry Potter at Home and why the series means so much to her:

I think why Harry Potter is so loved is because Jo created a home where everyone is always welcome to come back to. Everyone’s home lives are feeling and looking very different these days, but the Wizarding World has become a constant place to find solace and joy for so many people, including myself.

Lynch has been a fan of Harry Potter since her childhood. This is what she shared about the series:

Whenever my life feels really unpredictable or I just need a quiet, familiar space to collect myself, I find myself instinctively reaching for my Harry Potter books. There’s just nothing quite like Jo’s wonderful, warm, magical world that makes me feel recentred, like I’ve reconnected to the most real part of myself, like I’m home. So I couldn’t think of a more perfect, healing thing to do as a community during this strange time than to sit peacefully and read Philosopher’s Stone together and connect through our love of books and magic.

Callow’s work includes the classics Four Weddings and a Funeral (Gareth) and A Room with a View (Mr. Beebe). He is another huge fan of this beloved series.

This was a unique group to bring Chapter 5 to everyone through Harry Potter at Home. There are still 12 chapters to go that we know will be brought to life by Wizarding World stars and famous fans. An audio-only version is available for all for free on Spotify for children, parents and carers worldwide to have fun and enjoy listening to these very special, one-off recordings. All seventeen chapters of the book will be released by the middle of the summer.
