Hogwarts Houses as Inspirational Quotes
I’ve been looking at inspirational quotes a lot lately. I find myself needing some words of inspiration to keep going in these terrifying times. Sometimes a quote pops out at me that just screams a certain character or thing from the Harry Potter series. Here are four quotes that remind me of each of the Hogwarts Houses.
Gryffindor
This quote just screams Gryffindor. I’ve always seen Gryffindors as people who are unafraid to show their true selves to the world. They are brave enough to say, “This is who I am; deal with it.” I greatly respect that trait, and I feel like this quote perfectly describes it.
Ravenclaw
When I think of Ravenclaws, I don’t just think that they are the “smart” House. The Ravenclaws that I know are intelligent, yes, but they’re more than that. Ravenclaws are people who absorb the world around them. They analyze everything to make their own thoughts and ideas. That’s why I feel that this quote perfectly represents Ravenclaws, because they absorb what they read and find a way to make it their own.
Hufflepuff
In the books, Hufflepuffs are described as loyal and hardworking. This is true, but they are more than that. Hufflepuffs are dreamers. They’re friendly and they live their lives to the fullest. They stand up for their friends and what they believe in. This is why I feel that this quote perfectly represents them, because Hufflepuffs do whatever they have to so that they can enjoy the journey.
Slytherin
As a Slytherin, I feel like this quote is the perfect representation of my House. Being a Slytherin is about more than ambition; it’s about wanting to surround yourself with people who help you actually achieve your ambitions. Whether it’s from encouragement or competition, it’s important that the people in your life inspire you to be great. That’s why I feel like this quote embodies just what it means to be a Slytherin.
