Get Your House-Inspired Drink Fix with “Secret Menu” Orders from Starbucks

by Mary Wojcicki · September 24, 2020

Fans of the Wizarding World franchise have no shortage of creativity, including when it comes to food. Sometimes, though, it’s easier to order from Starbucks than it is to make something yourself – so why not add a little magical flair to your next drink?

While we’ve covered some ideas for Starbucks drinks before, there are a number of drinks that have become popular among fans. One such drink is the “Butterbeer Frappuccino,” which starts as a Crème Frappuccino base. (Note that these “secret menu” items are simply fan creations, and it’s always best to provide your barista with the combination of menu items and syrups required for anything that you request.)

Now, there’s a new trend in the world of Harry Potter-inspired Starbucks drinks: Hogwarts House-inspired drinks. Insider shared the ideas, which have been making the rounds on TikTok. While these menu items follow the offerings in the United States, they might not be available elsewhere.

According to Insider, the recipes are as follows:

The Gryffindor Frappuccino is a grande Vanilla Bean Frappuccino with one scoop of ginger turmeric powder, one scoop of strawberry inclusions, and one pump of ginger pineapple syrup.

While your beverage is blending, ask your barista to include strawberry puree in the bottom of the cup. Finish this Frappuccino off with a dollop of whipped cream, another scoop of ginger powder and finally, dried strawberries on top.

The Hufflepuff Frappuccino is any creme-based grande Frappuccino with one scoop of ginger turmeric powder, one scoop of java chips, and two pumps of ginger pineapple syrup.

Finish your Hufflepuff Frappuccino with a coat of mocha drizzle on the bottom of your cup; then ask for some whipped cream, cookie crumbles and a little more ginger powder on top.

The Slytherin Frappuccino is a grande Green Tea Frappuccino that substitutes peppermint syrup instead of classic sweetener and adds one scoop of java chips.

This drink isn’t complete without a drizzle of mocha on the bottom of the cup. Finally, finish it all off with some whipped cream, cookie crumbles and a sprinkle of that green matcha powder for a minty-sweet treat you won’t be able to put down.

The Ravenclaw Frappuccino is a grande Vanilla Bean Frappuccino with coconut milk substituted for whole milk, one pump of raspberry syrup, and one scoop of blackberry inclusions.

Add some whipped cream and a pinch of vanilla bean powder on top, and voila! You’ve got the only Frappuccino fit for a Ravenclaw.
