Review and Giveaway: Win a Deathly Hallows Gray Silk Men’s Tie from Cufflinks.com!

by Brian Selcik · October 26, 2020

Subtly showing your love for Harry Potter through small fashion statements is one of the most fun parts of being a fan. Cufflinks.com helps you further your Potter fashion with this new tie taken right out of Madam Malkin’s!

This stylish yet professional Golden Snitch black tie is exactly what you may be looking for to spice up the professional parts of your wardrobe. The tie is 100% silk and features diagonally crossing gold and black dots, with black stitched Snitches in each diamond made from the crossing dots. This means that when you are bored in a Zoom meeting or anywhere else, you have something to do: Count all the Snitches!

The Harry Potter logo can be found on the back of the tie just under the keeper’s loop (where you tuck in the tail of the tie after tying). Because the tie is black, it is easy to match with many different outfits, allowing you to customize just how you want to showcase your Harry Potter love.

Cufflinks.com does unfortunately promote themselves as “The Men’s Accessories Marketplace,” but everyone should feel that they can purchase and wear whatever they want from whatever clothing site they are interested in. Even though the tie is named “Golden Snitch Black Silk Men’s Tie,” anyone could make this tie look good.

Making this tie work for your outfit is not a hard task. It has a length of 59’’, which is about standard for adult ties, and the smooth silk of the tie allows it to flow through your fingers for a seamless tying process. Although tying may not be your strong suit, the tie comes with a card explaining how to do the “Windsor” knot. It may seem complicated, but with just a few minutes of practice, you should have the Windsor down in no time. A new party trick? Perhaps.

The tie is comfortable to wear, does not rub uncomfortably with standard collars, and is easily adjustable to fit all neck and torso sizes.

While the tie retails for a hefty $58.00 on Cufflinks.com, it is just in time for the holiday season, so it’s a perfect item to add to your holiday wishlist!

Potter Quote

“I know what you are known as. But to me, I’m afraid, you will always be Tom Riddle. It is one of the irritating things about old teachers. I am afraid that they never quite forget their charges’ youthful beginnings.”
