Tom Felton Teases Holiday Home Party, Plays “Heads Up!” with Jason Isaacs

by Adam Poncharoensub · December 26, 2020

Back in November, Tom Felton celebrated 19 years since the release of the film adaptation of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. In an event called Tom Felton’s Home Party, Tom livestreamed himself participating in a Q&A session, playing games, crowning the winners of the “Pottah” challenge, and reuniting several Potter alumni to reflect on the film 19 years later. As expected, fans loved the event, especially during this trying pandemic. The event was so well received that Tom has decided to keep the party going with Tom Felton’s Holiday Home Party, scheduled to livestream today at 12:00 p.m. PT.

In the days leading up to the event, Tom took to Twitter to tease fans, promising more Willow the dog, more guests, and more songs. However, none were quite as wholesome or entertaining as this short 44-second clip of Tom playing Heads Up! with Jason Isaacs, who played Tom’s on-screen father, Lucius Malfoy.

In this hilarious clip, we see Felton and Isaacs play a version of charades, attempting to provide clues to the answer on their phones without actually using any part of it. The funniest part has to be when Felton guesses “dinosaur” to Isaacs’s clues for hippopotamus, an answer that warrants a not-so-paternal chastising from Isaacs. What’s even funnier is that a quick Google search shows that Tom’s first guess of “mosquito” is actually correct. (Honestly, with some of Isaacs’s clues, you would probably need several lessons in Legilimency to accurately guess. Unfortunately, as far as was shown in the series, Draco was only briefly trained in Occlumency, which is a skill that might not be very useful in this game.)

The clip also shows us that Tom has a knack for accents. While his Forrest Gump impression leaves something to be desired, his surfer dude is accurate and hysterical. Thinking again, it was already obvious that he had a gift for accents from that viral video of MTV reporter Josh Horowitz trying to teach the Harry Potter cast how to speak “American.”

It’s an incredibly fun tease for what looks like an entertaining event for all Pottah fans. Be sure to tune in to Tom Felton’s Holiday Home Party, which will livestream on Veeps today, December 26, 2020, at 12:00 p.m. PT. If you can’t make it, don’t fret; the stream will still be available to watch until January 2, 2021, 12:00 p.m. PT.

If you missed the last Home Party livestream, we highlighted the top five moments that we loved for you.
