Travel to Hogwarts and Beyond with “Harry Potter: Travel Magic”

by Tom Dell'Agnola · December 23, 2020

Have you ever dreamt of hopping onto the Hogwarts Express? Are you a fan of paper prop replicas? Then seek no further! This foldable, Marauder’s Map-esque book is the ultimate getaway you have been waiting for (and didn’t know you needed!). It takes you on a journey that starts on Platform 9 ¾ and continues all the way up to the Sorting Hat ceremony, with fun facts and curiosities about the Hogwarts Express, the sweets you can indulge in, and even the spooky and equally fascinating creatures you may encounter on your way to Hogwarts.

It’s more than just a guide. The moment you pop the book open, you are already in for a surprise. You’ll find a replica of Harry’s acceptance letter with a list of school supplies and, of course, your own ticket to board the Hogwarts Express on September 1. It also comes with a blank travel journal and a beautiful Platform 9 ¾ pencil to jot down all of your travel adventures and sightseeing experiences.

As you unfold its pages and unravel its hidden Easter eggs, it takes you on a fun ride filled with information and removable paper props including luggage tags, Chocolate Frog cards, animal companion stickers, and a cute Whomping Willow paper ruler. And you’ll feel more immersed in the wizarding world by adding your photo to a customizable Chocolate Frog card!

One of its most exciting features is the swappable window views so that you can pick your favorite one. Just beware of the Dementors!

You’ll also find miniature paper school book replicas (an enticing feature for any MinaLima fan), Spectrespecs to look for Wrackspurts (and a hidden character!), and insights about the Sorting Hat ceremony and the head of each House.

There are a couple of letdowns, such as its somewhat confusing folding concept (which is nevertheless quite innovative) and the Whomping Willow ruler being made out of paper instead of a more durable cardboard material.

In short, this book is the perfect companion for anyone who is embarking on a new adventure or just wants to enjoy its multiple surprises and perks. Its interactive content, outstanding design, and even the embossed titles on the cover depict how much attention to detail was put into it. This companion book is a must-have for witches and wizards of all ages. With Harry Potter: Travel Magic, you’ll get to join Harry, Ron, and Hermione on their multiple journeys on the Hogwarts Express and beyond!
