New “Harry Potter” LEGO Sets Rumored for Release in 2022

by Mary Wojcicki · September 6, 2021

It has been a magical year in the world of LEGO Harry Potter merchandise. Following the release of numerous new products to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the LEGO Harry Potter product line, LEGO doesn’t appear to be slowing down as 2022 approaches. In fact, a new report from Brick Fanatics suggests that there is even more to come next year.

Citing speculation posted to the German website PROMOBRICKS, Brick Fanatics suggests that there are at least four more Harry Potter-themed LEGO sets to come in 2022.

Promobricks has revealed product names, numbers, piece counts, and prices for four rumoured sets. Two of them are more Hogwarts Moments sets, similar to the [H]ouse-themed builds, 76382 Transfiguration Class, 76383 Potions Class, 76384 Herbology Class and 76385 Charms Class.

If this information is correct, each of these sets is likely to be 200 to 300 pieces.

Once again, these sets will focus on classes at the wizarding school: 75396 Hogwarts Moment: Divination Class, with 297 pieces, and 75397 Hogwarts Moment: Defense Against the Dark Arts Class, with 257 pieces. Promobricks reports that they will both retail for €29.99, which would likely come out as £27.99 in the UK, judging by the prices of the existing Hogwarts moments sets.

For those curious, at the time of publication, €29.99 is equivalent to $35.60 (USD). This might not be accurate, however. A similar set already available for purchase, the Hogwarts Moment: Transfiguration Class set, is currently priced at $29.99 on the LEGO website for the United States.

It is also rumored that two larger sets will be released next year, Brick Fanatics adds.

There are also two more sets rumoured for next year, 75398 Hospital Wing and 75399 Hogwarts Suitcase. The first will apparently expand the more detailed sets of the school, taking us into the room where Harry has recovered from various magical maladies, in a 510-piece build selling for € 39.99 [sic].

Brick Fanatics also described what fans could expect from the 75399 Hogwarts Suitcase set:

The second is a model in line with the LEGO Group’s recent move to more adult-focused, displayable sets. It’s a suitcase that is supposed to be able to be locked with a lock and key. LEGO Harry Potter fans will be able to customise the outside according to their chosen [H]ouse, much like the scarf element in 76391 Hogwarts Icons [-] Collectors’ Edition.

Inside, the wonder continues as various scenes from the movies can allegedly be re[-]created, from the Sorting Ceremony to different common rooms from all the [H]ouses. This set will be made up of 603 bricks and cost €49.99.

According to PROMOBRICKS, these new sets will be released on January 1, 2022. (In other words, you might not have to wait very long after completing your LEGO Advent calendar to summon these your way.)

What do you think of these rumors? Would you like to add these sets to your collection? Let us know in the comments below.
