“Harry Potter: Puzzles & Spells” Teams Up with “Words with Friends 2” for Magical Mischief Campaign

The popular Harry Potter game Harry Potter: Puzzles & Spells has joined up with Words with Friends 2 for a week of magical mischief.

On March 21, players of Words with Friends 2 will notice that the featured word of the day is “magical.” The collaboration is in line with the Magical Mischief season that is currently running on Puzzles & Spells until March 31, which involves players completing in-game tasks and earning points.

By completing [p]uzzles during weeks in March when the Magical Mischief event is active, players will be able to send boxes that contain random [p]ranks to players in rival [c]lubs, either helping or hurting their progress in the spirit of friendly rivalry.

Yaron Leyvand, Executive Vice President of Games at Zynga, said that it’s a “pleasure” to connect the two games for the first time and that the collaboration “allows players to experience fun synergies across their cherished games while enjoying playful, lighthearted mischief on their mobile devices.”

Both games have a strong connection to mischief, with magical mischief being “front and center in Harry Potter: Puzzles & Spells, and Words [w]ith Friends 2 players often use mischievous strategy in gameplay, such as ‘besting’ their opponent who just played a lengthy word by playing a much shorter word – including higher-scoring letters such as Z or X to get a more competitive score.”

The cross-game collaboration invites friendly mischief via in-game posts that encourage Words [w]ith Friends 2 players to play a sneaky word and then pick a silly sticker to tease their opponent.

This collaboration is also giving players the chance to win some “amazing prizes, including exclusive merchandise.”

 

 

To take part in the Mischief with Friends sweepstakes, you first need to download and play the apps Harry Potter: Puzzles & Spells and Words with Friends 2. You can then enter via either Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter.
