“Cursed Child” North American Tour Adds Multiple Cities While Brazil Production Postponed Indefinitely

We’ve got more news from the North American tour of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, with new cities announced all the way through to next summer!

The North American tour kicked off in Chicago, Illinois, in fall 2024 and is currently in residence at the Hollywood Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles, California. It will play there until June 22, after which we already knew the production would travel to Washington D.C. until September 2025, Boston, Massachusetts, at the end of the year between November 9 and December 20, Atlanta, Georgia, on February 28, 2026, and Minneapolis, Minnisota between April 25 and May 23 2026.

Some new cities have been added to fill out the time between these dates. The show will play at the Providence Performing Arts Center in Providence, Rhode Island, from September 19 to October 4, 2025. It will then travel to the Ohio Theatre in Columbus, Ohio, where it will play between October 12 and November 1, 2025.

Between Boston and Atlanta, the show will take over Durham, North Carolina, and Orlando, Florida. Between December 28, 2025, and January 17, 2026, Cursed Child will play at the Durham Performing Arts Center before continuing to the Dr Phillips Center in Orlando from January 24 to February 21, 2026. After Atlanta, the show will move to the Fabulous Fox Theatre in St. Louis, Missouri, for a run between March 28 and April 18, 2026.

We also have two cities that have been added to extend the length of the tour. After its stop in Minneapolis, the show will continue to the Buell Theatre in Denver, Colorado, where its run will last from May 30 to June 27, 2026. The current final stop on the tour is Costa Mesa, California. The show will play from July 5 to July 25, 2026, at the Segerstrom Center.

More ticket information for all tour dates can be found on the official Cursed Child tour website.

While the extra tour dates are great news for North American fans, we’ve got some more unfortunate news from the Brazilian production of Cursed Child. The show was first announced to launch in Brazil later this year, becoming the first production of the show in Latin America. However, the show has now been “postponed indefinitely” in the country due to extenuating circumstances. A spokesperson for the production stated: “Despite our unwavering efforts, we must regretfully announce that the production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child in Brazil has been postponed indefinitely. We have always held our Brazilian fans in the highest regard and were eager to share the magic with them. However, significant challenges beyond our control have prevented us from launching the production to the level of quality we expect. As a result, we’ve made the difficult decision to part ways with the local producer, VME. At this time, we have no further comments, but remain hopeful that we will bring the production to Brazil in the future.”

Were you hoping to catch Cursed Child in Brazil? Or are you happy that the tour will be coming to a city nearer you?
