“Harry Potter” TV Show Casts Harry, Ron, and Hermione

It’s finally the day we’ve all been waiting for: Two wizards and a witch have officially received their Hogwarts letters.

Since the announcement of an open casting call for the roles of Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger for the Harry Potter TV series back in September 2024, we’ve been on the lookout for any news. Now, we finally have names and faces to put to our beloved golden trio. Dominic McLaughlin will play Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton will take on the role of Hermione Granger, and Alistair Stout will step into the shoes of Ron Weasley.

McLaughlin has one other project to his name, an upcoming Sky comedy film called Grow. Interestingly, the film also features Nick Frost, who has been cast as Hagrid in the Harry Potter TV show.

Stanton has credits in West End musical theater, including a six-month stint as Matilda in Matilda the Musical between September 2023 and March 2024, and a more recent role as Control in Starlight Express from June to September 2024. Stout is more of an unknown, with a single credit to his name in a commercial.

This announcement comes soon after the first sighting of a possible set. Pictures of the presumed Privet Drive construction leaked earlier this month. Now that we’ve got actors to fill it, how soon could filming begin?

Congratulations to Dominic McLaughlin, Arabella Stanton, and Alistair Stout! We can’t wait to see their takes on some of our favorite characters.
