Hogwarts Is Filling Up: HBO’s Harry Potter Series Adds Oliver Wood, Lee Jordan, Pansy Parkinson, and More

The Sorting Hat (or rather the casting team) has been hard at work! HBO has revealed a new batch of Hogwarts student casting for the upcoming Harry Potter series, including some very familiar names for Quidditch fans and several students who’ll help bring Harry’s year to life.

Below is the full rundown, sorted by House.

Gryffindor

Gryffindor’s Quidditch corner is officially taking shape:

  • Orson Matthews as Oliver Wood (Gryffindor Quidditch captain)
  • Asha Soetan as Angelina Johnson
  • Eire Farrell as Katie Bell
  • Serrana Su-Ling Bliss as Alicia Spinnet
  • Ethan Smith as Lee Jordan 

Hufflepuff

The House of the Badger is filling up with some key names from Harry’s era:

  • India Moon as Hannah Abbott
  • James Trevelyan Buckle as Justin Finch-Fletchley
  • Cian Eagle-Service as Ernie MacMillan
  • Jazmyn Lewin as Susan Bones

Ravenclaw

Ravenclaw’s roster includes both recognizable names and some deep-cuts that suggest the series is truly leaning into the source material:

  • Anjula Murali as Padma Patil
  • Aaron Zhao as Terry Boot
  • Scarlett Archer as Penelope Clearwater
  • Eve Walls as Lisa Turpin

Slytherin

And yes, the Slytherin Quidditch team is warming up:

When does the series come out?

HBO’s Harry Potter series is currently slated to debut in 2027. The series is written and executive produced by Francesca Gardiner, with Mark Mylod executive producing and directing multiple episodes.
