The Zodiac Signs as Magical Creatures – Part 2

by Chelsea Korynta · March 22, 2020

A few days ago, we revealed which magical creature best represented half of the sun signs on the zodiac wheel. If you didn’t see your sign on that post, you’re in the right place today. Here’s what magical creature best embodies your sign – part two!

Occamy – Libra (September 23–October 21)

One of the most incredible features about the winged, snake-like Occamy is its choranaptyxic quality, meaning it can shrink or grow to fit into any space available. Libras try to re-create this feeling of total balance in any way they can. It takes calculated cleverness to make every situation work perfectly for both Libras and Occamys, as well as a perfectionist attitude. Libra is ruled by the planet Venus, the planet of beauty, love, and art. Libras love extravagance, just like the Occamy loves their precious eggs made out of extremely valuable silver.

Basilisk – Scorpio (October 23–November 21)

The basilisk is a powerful, terrifying beast that can kill you with a single look. In the same intimidating fashion, Scorpios are powerful friends to have, but deadly enemies. This water sign is known to be passionate, possessive, and obsessed. They tend to get a bad rap like our favorite magical slithery snake. In reality, Scorpios just can’t be bothered with anything superficial, and they are intrigued by the deeper secrets of life. Ever wonder how Tom Riddle tamed the Basilisk in the Chamber of Secrets? If you put a Scorpio in a role they feel powerful in, they are unstoppable.

Thunderbird – Sagittarius (November 22–December 21)

Like the awe-inspiring Thunderbird, Sagittarius is a sign that craves freedom. Both are just too big and beautiful to be contained. While the Thunderbirds and Sagittarii love trailblazing, they can sometimes dive into their next big adventure without all the proper planning. We see this trait in Frank, the Thunderbird, who finds himself captured in Egypt, far away from his home in Arizona, before Newt Scamander rescues him.

Niffler – Capricorn (December 22–January 19)

Ambition is the clearest similarity between Nifflers and Capricorns. Both love to succeed – and having money or other valuables is a great way to measure success. As with Newt’s Nifflers, there is no obstacle that can keep a Capricorn from what they want to achieve. They are disciplined and extremely focused people who seem to have boundless energy when it comes to meeting their goals. What’s even more similar to the devilish Niffler, Capricorns are known for their troublemaking tendencies.

Centaur – Aquarius (January 20–February 18)

No other sign is as progressive and independent as an Aquarius. Like the centaurs of the Forbidden Forest, Aquarians will fight for causes they believe in, especially if it falls under social justice. Both Aquarians and centaurs are sometimes called aggressive, but really, it’s just a defense mechanism. Aquarians are often lost in thought – they are deep thinkers with brilliant minds. Building trust with an Aquarius allows them to feel like they can share their deep thoughts with others. Just as centaurs are known for their talents in Divination, those born under the sign Aquarius may have natural intuitive powers.

Phoenix – Pisces (February 19–March 20)

Source

I know, I know – phoenixes are all about fire, and Pisces is a water sign. However, one huge connecting characteristic between this magical creature and this zodiac sign is that their feelings make them powerful. While they may not have healing powers like the phoenix, Pisces will always make time to listen to your problems. Pisces is represented by two fish swimming in a circle. To me, this connects to the ever-transforming life cycles of the phoenix. Plus, Pisces have a magical sort of intuition – exactly the kind you need to determine loyalty and trueness in the souls of others.

What do you think of our list? Which fantastic beast do you identify with?
