Several Harry Potter stars are participating in 2014’s National Doodle Day, to raise funds for the charity Epilepsy Action, an organization that works to improve the lives of those living with epilepsy. “Kill Your Darlings” gets March release date

“Kill Your Darlings,” starring Daniel Radcliffe as poet Allen Ginsberg, will be available on Blu-ray and DVD in the US on March 18. The film follows Ginsberg through a critical year of college at Columbia University, where he meets fellow students Jack Kerouac and William S. Burroughs and becomes involved in a scandal surrounding the death of David Kammerer.

Students create Quidditch virtual reality game

A team of students from DePaul University and University of Michigan have created a Quidditch virtual reality game, called Oculus Quidditch, which allows players to simulate what it’s like to play the famous wizarding game. The game was created during MHacks, a marathon of programming where students work around the clock for an entire weekend attempting to complete ambitious coding projects.

Helena Bonham Carter to serve on commission for Holocaust education

Helena Bonham Carter has joined British Prime Minister David Cameron’s new Holocaust Commission, which will serve to find ways to educate future generations about the horrors of the Holocaust. The committee, which also includes Chief Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis, senior politicians Michael Grove and Ed Balls, and others, is cross-party and multi-faith.

UK release date for “Noah” pushed to April

The UK release date for Noah, a re-telling of the famous Biblical story that co-stars Emma Watson, has been pushed back from March to April 4, which means audiences will have to wait a little bit longer to view the film.
