When museum visitors in Berlin were given the chance to vote on a name for a new species of cockroach wasp, they settled on referencing “Potter”‘s Dementors because of how the wasp paralyzes its prey before eating it.

LeakyCon 2016 announced!
LeakyCon 2014 hasn’t even happened, yet, but the organizers over at LeakyCon have already announced an event for 2016! It was announced that in 2016 LeakyCon will be “going back to our roots.” There will also be another larger LeakyCon taking place in the summer of 2016, which will celebrate a range of fandoms, and the details for this are yet to be announced.

Young “Harry Potter” fans were left spellbound last week when characters from the much-loved books paid a visit to North Tyneside! Harry, Hagrid, and Professor McGonagall were the characters who greeted fans at libraries and council centers across North Tyneside.
