Dear Harry Potter,
I wanted to start off by telling you that I am your BIGGEST fan. You are such an amazing, brilliant and caring person that I have looked up to you ever since 4th grade when I started reading the Harry Potter books. Now I am in college, but the magic of Potter will never leave me 🙂
There is one question that I’ve been wanting to ask you, and I hope you will be able to answer it. In your fifth year at Hogwarts, when Hagrid introduced threstrals in your Care of Magical Creatures class, how come you were only able to see them from the fifth year (after Cedric Diggory died)? They had always pulled the carriages at Hogwarts but you didn’t see them until the fifth book. Why is that, when you saw your parents die when you were only 1-year-old?

So this post has been a long time in coming, so please forgive the following rant: Just yesterday, MuggleNet made posts on social media about Cedric Diggory in remembrance of his passing June 24, 1995. Harry Potter fans know the alternate Hogwarts Tri-Wizard contender was murdered by Peter Pettigrew when he and Harry were teleported to the Little Hangleton graveyard via portkey.
Fun Fact: Today (January 21) was the day Harry Potter opened and solved the clue of the Golden Egg
Eighteen years ago today, Harry Potter entered the prefects’ bathroom on a tip from Cedric Diggory. He started the water running and submerged the mysterious Golden Egg in the bath at Moaning Myrtle’s suggestion, for she had seen the other boy do the same.
