My life has revolved around Harry Potter for so long, I don’t even remember how I first got into the series, though I’ve come to the conclusion that it must have been a 1999 Scholastic Book Fair. In response to a feeling of emptiness after Deathly Hallows – Part 2 was released, I answered the call to become a transcriber for MuggleNet’s newest podcast, Alohomora!, in July 2012. In September 2013, I became the site’s first copy editor, being promoted to Senior Copy Editor in January 2015, and in January 2019, I finally reached the top!

I am very fortunate to have found my place at MuggleNet, and I’m forever grateful for the friends I have made here and the opportunities that working with the site has afforded me. The qualities of Hufflepuff House are ones I try to live by, and you could pay me no greater compliment than to say that I embody them. In real life, I am a professional translator living in Rhode Island. Most of my free time is spent watching movies and TV, but I also enjoy taking walks, exploring my new home, and playing Hogwarts Mystery.

I credit my obsessive love of the wizarding world to one of my oldest friends, Hope. She convinced me to watch Sorcerer’s Stone one hot, sticky summer afternoon, and I was immediately drawn in. I stumbled upon MuggleNet shortly after and became a frequent visitor. I was hired in 2006 and as they say, the rest is history.

When I am not dealing with all things Harry Potter or MuggleNet, you will likely find me riding my bike, practicing American Sign Language with my local club, or at home snuggling with my cats. I’ve been lucky in life and can attribute a lot of that to Harry Potter. Without it, I wouldn’t have at least 80% of the things that I do today, including my career and closest friends.

I first discovered Harry Potter in 2004 when a friend introduced me to the series via a Chamber of Secrets VHS tape. I immediately self-Sorted into Slytherin, the House of outcasts that are just a bit too “different” to make it without an extra dose of resourcefulness and ambition. Every online test I’ve taken since has agreed.

I am a huge Fantastic Beasts fan, and I spend most of my free time writing, making music, and hanging out with a large family of Nifflers that took over my living room and declared it theirs.

Marketing Director

I was introduced to Harry Potter through my older sister right after the Deathly Hallows novel came out. That was over a decade ago. Today I am a creature-loving Ravenclaw that continues to explore the Wizarding World. As a Muggle, I work to fulfill my goal of educating the public on important issues through public institutions, continue to research fascinating facets of life history, try new tacos, and watch as many scary movies as I can.

Managing Editor

I was given a copy of Philosopher’s Stone in 2001, and from the first chapter, I was hooked. Years of midnight releases, wizard rock, and Potter podcasts later, I joined MuggleNet as a reviewer in 2017. I spent the following year running around London covering anything and everything with a Potter connection, before joining the News Team as a journalist in 2018.

In my Muggle life, I completed a degree in History in 2016 and currently work full-time while studying for a Masters in Education. I’m an avid follower of motorsport and enjoy reading, watching movies, and traveling.
