Place 2/3 of frosting in bowl and add yellow food coloring until desired color is achieved.
When cupcakes are completely cool, spread frosting over each cupcake.
In a separate mixing bowl, mix remaining frosting with yellow food coloring. This color should be a lighter yellow than before.
Spoon frosting into Ziploc/piping bag. Gently pipe swirl patterns onto each cupcake.
Take the hardened wings out of the freezer. They should easily peel away from the parchment paper. Use a dab of remaining frosting to stick two wings onto each cupcake.
