“SpeakBeasty” Episode 156: “Release the Yates Cut”

On the latest episode of SpeakBeasty, hosts Amy, Ann, and Marjolaine discuss the deleted scenes from Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore included on the DVD and Blu-ray. 

The deleted scenes in the film’s special features include a lengthy conversation between Theseus and Newt in the younger Scamander brother’s flat, Dumbledore receiving news of the qilin from Newt via owl, an intense conversation between Vogel and Grindelwald, and a puzzling scene in which Credence kills an Auror.

Interestingly, there are no deleted scenes featuring Queenie. Our hosts were rather expecting there to be since Queenie’s turn back to the right side seemed rather rushed in the final version of the film. The SpeakBeasty hosts are convinced there are some additional Queenie scenes somewhere, and therefore, we demand the Yates Cut be released.
