“SpeakBeasty” Episode 157: “Happy Hogwarts Paradise”

On this episode of SpeakBeasty, hosts Shannen, Geoff, and Lizzie take a look at the screenplay book for Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore

Our hosts comb through the book to find differences between the script and the finished film. Extra notes from the production team, as well as scene descriptors, add some context. For example, some scenes have specific locations, including Piccadilly Circus and Tianzi Mountain in China.

The script book also indicates the passage of time more clearly than the film does. The script describes Credence as “looking older” and notes that the conversation between Dumbledore and Grindelwald in the cafe was not in the present timeline.

In this episode’s Newtcase, we dive into the underworld to learn more about naga from Hindu mythology.

I was 9 years old when I discovered the magic that is “Harry Potter.” I am a proud Hufflepuff and exceedingly good at eating, reading, being sarcastic, and over-thinking small tasks. Since I spent too much time worrying about the correct way to write this bio, this is all I was able to come up with before the deadline.
