Social Roundup: Eggs, Blues, Purples, and Facts!

by Kevin Assam · April 12, 2015

The chocolate shortage is very real, but that doesn’t mean we can’t carry on with our Easter celebrations. In addition to the Easter festivities, the Empire State Building was lit up to mark the launch of J.K Rowling’s charity, Lumos, as it prepared for operations out of its new NY base.

Here’s the queen bee getting a first look at the lighting arrangements. We love how the planning and organization of the event did not overlook matching her outfit to the settings. Keeping it stylish!

Here she is with Lumos CEO Georgette Mulheir.

Does this gargantuan switch really work the exterior lights?

Apparently it does. Isn’t this a pretty sight?

Of course, the end of last week was Easter and so there were plenty of chocolate and egg themed posts flying about, including some facts thanks to the Studio Tour:

Happy Easter! Did you know, the skyline etched on the outside of the golden egg is meant to depict a historical city? pic.twitter.com/ISQNTto1nW

Jessie Cave was faced with a dilemma:

Contemplating celebrating baby being 6 months by feeding him his first bit of solid food, a Creme Egg. But I'm worried he'll be taken away

Rohan Gotobed shared a different sort of fact:

Fact of the Day: I originally won my Nintendo Wii (back in 2007) after entering a Harry Potter-themed competition with Nat Geographic

Matt Lewis went on a photo shoot with PUPPIES (need we say more?):

Daniel Radcliffe was busy taping BBC show Have I Got News for You:
