Considering how much roast chicken and beef Harry had throughout the Potter series, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando Resort totally surprised me with its vegetarian options. My first trip was this January, and I was able to go the whole weekend without eating one wilted salad.
At the Leaky Cauldron, I had a plate of roasted vegetables and a piping mug of Butterbeer. The Three Broomsticks was my favorite meal – roasted potatoes and a delicious leek and potato soup. Employees at both restaurants were happy to help explain the gluten-free menu without the usual eye roll. Restaurants near the park all had vegetarian options and a gluten-free menu. The cafeteria at Cabana Bay had plenty of meatless options and even a tofu stir fry.
