First-Edition Copy of “Philosopher’s Stone” Up for Auction

Have you been dreaming (like most of us) of getting your hands on a first-edition copy of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone? This could be your chance! One of only 500 first-edition copies is currently open for bids at Forum Auctions until Thursday, May 30 at 10:30 a.m. BST.

As you might have guessed, the rare book is expected to cost quite a lot of Galleons. A signed first edition recently sold for close to $90,000. This unsigned former library copy is expected to go for around $39,000 – library barcode and all. That said, rare Harry Potter books have been known to surpass expectations in past auctions, so there’s really no telling how high the bids could climb!
