Celebrate Harry’s Birthday at a Special Soho Event
Harry Potter’s birthday is a date known by everyone in the wizarding world. This year, the date marks something special for Muggles too, as magic will take over London for a day of celebration.
On July 31, Harry Potter fans in the United Kingdom will be able to join in the party in the center of London’s Soho. The pop-up event includes a bunch of activities to take part in, including face painting and cupcake tasting. There will also be competitions and games throughout the day, with a Guess How Many Hogwarts House Jellybeans Challenge to test your divination skills and giveaways from Lego and Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, among others. Prizes can be won for creative costumes, participation, and more throughout the day.
There will also be plenty of other chances to interact with the magic. Photo opportunities, including a special photobooth and a massive statue of Harry built from Lego, will allow guests to take memories away with them. Guests will also be able to fill out a stamp card collection as they explore the pop-up, which can be cashed in for a party favor when completed.
As well as the interactive elements of the pop-up, there will be attractions to take a look at. These will include costumes from the West End’s Cursed Child production and product displays from Bloomsbury, Jazwares, MGA, the Noble Collection, Rubies, Smyths, and Spinmaster, although none of the products will be available to purchase at the celebration.
The pop-up is a timed entry ticket event. Tickets are free and will be released on a first-come, first-served basis on Thursday, July 17, beginning at 11:00 a.m. BST at DesignMyNight, so make sure you are on time and ready to duel, as the pop-up is expected to sell out quickly.
