Competitions: Win copies of “Pride” and “The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman”

by Toni Louise Cooper · February 28, 2015

Calling all UK residents: Fancy getting your hands on some rather wonderful goodies? Then you may just be in luck because Entertainment-Focus is running not one but TWO great competitions!

You – that’s right, YOU – could be in with a chance of winning Pride on DVD and The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman on Blu-ray. All you have to do is answer a simple question about each.

Pride, which stars Potter alumni Imelda Staunton, Bill Nighy, and Jessie Cave (who of course is one of our Expo Patronum attendees), tells the true story about a group of gay and lesbian activists who join forces with a Welsh community to raise funds and awareness for the miners strike of 1984. You can read MuggleNet’s review of the film here.

If you’d like the chance to win a copy of Pride on DVD, then all you have to do is visit the Entertainment-Focus website and answer the following question:

Who plays Mark in Pride:

– Joseph Gilgun

– Ben Schnetzer

– George MacKay

The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman is about a man who falls for a beautiful woman while traveling abroad, only to find out her former husband is a violent crime-lord. The film of course stars Ron Weasley actor Rupert Grint. Three copies of the Blu-ray is up for grabs, and all you have to do to win is click here and answer this question:

Who plays Charlie Countryman?

– Miles Teller

– John Cusak

– Shia LaBeouf

Both competitions are open until 23:59 GMT on March 20 and as stated above, only to those who live in the UK. You must be over the age of 18, and winners will be selected at random. You may enter once per day in order to increase your chances of winning, but you cannot exceed this limit. Full terms and conditions can be found on each of the competition pages. Good luck!

Have you already seen either or both of these films? What were your opinions on them? Let us know below with your thoughts!

Potter Quote

“I suggest you both go up to Madam Pomfrey. She is already tending to Miss Fawcett, of Ravenclaw, and Mr. Summers, of Hufflepuff, both of whom decided to age themselves up a little too. Though I must say, neither of their beards is anything like as fine as yours.”
