Social Roundup: Creativity, charity… and the weekend!

by Sophie Reid · April 26, 2015

After the buzz of MuggleNet Live! last weekend, it feels like this week has been particularly quiet on the social media front. All the same, the cast members have been up to all sorts of creative and charity projects – and for some it was all about getting to the weekend.

Robert Galbraith (AKA J.K. Rowling) broke his Twitter silence (and clearly found his password) to announce that the third book in the Comoran Strike series was finished:

Just finished 3rd Cormoran Strike novel.

— Robert Galbraith (@RGalbraith) April 24, 2015

Oh happy, happy, happy day… it's the eleventh time I've done it and the joy never wears off.

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) April 24, 2015

Jo revealed her post-writing party plans, prompted by Chris Rankin:

.@chrisrankin Let's see… half a mug of tepid tea, Ibuprofen for my back and a stale biscuit. I don't think Mick Jagger would feel at home.

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) April 24, 2015

.@bravefawkes 1) have a drink, 2) visit a chiropractor and 3) start writing something else.

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) April 24, 2015

Rohan Gotobed shared some of the ironies of the acting industry:

I didn't get into the National Youth Theatre. Amusing, considering on the same day I auditioned I successfully got into Doctors

— Rohan Gotobed (@Rohan_Gotobed) April 23, 2015

Meanwhile, Jason Isaacs was busy campaigning for the arts:

1/2 V proud to be part of The Creative Coalition's Washington mission this weekend fighting for the arts funding that saves lives and souls

— Jason Isaacs (@jasonsfolly) April 22, 2015

2/2 Help me with stories of how the arts, in any form, & gov support for them, have changed or affected you. And wish us luck. @thecreativec

Jessie Cave doodled about Earth Day:

While Matt Lewis got involved with Jamie Oliver’s latest food campaign:

And Daniel Radcliffe shared a message:

And lastly, a bonus picture of Tom Felton, who encountered some friends from the past…

And that’s it for this week – a rather quiet week, but there was still plenty going on in the social media world.
