Social Roundup: Passports, Princesses, and the Return of Kim K

by Kevin Assam · May 3, 2015

This week did not skimp on the drama. Passports were lost, a princess was born, and the Battle of Hogwarts had its seventeenth anniversary. Did we mention that Kim K kept popping up in the strangest of places?

Tom experienced every traveler’s top ten nightmares: losing your phone and passport! He remained, however, optimistic.

Losing my passport and my phone in one day, makes me feel…. pic.twitter.com/qg7KHu2Z2I

— Tom Felton (@TomFelton) April 28, 2015

Luckily, you can always rely on strangers with access to your Twitter account to notify you of finding your phone.

Phone returned to its rightful owner. Passport still missing.
Killing in. 😏

— Tom Felton (@TomFelton) April 28, 2015

That just left the passport…

Wanted: @TomFelton's passport. Last seen (possibly) at LAX airport. Who found it?
Stuck in NYC.

— Tom Felton (@TomFelton) April 28, 2015

… which turned up with a familiar face.

Relax citizens. Passport found!!!! Kim K had it.

Coincidentally, on account of Jessie Cave’s new book…

Today I got my first copy of #lovesick ! So I didn't imagine this! @EburyPublishing http://t.co/syYZw7LDIq pic.twitter.com/SZwyiRUlLG

— Jessie Cave (@jessiecave) April 30, 2015

… this was not the last we saw of Kim K.

Glad to see those who have viewed my book have also viewed Kim Kardashian's + @rickedwards1 's http://t.co/syYZw7LDIq pic.twitter.com/cQ8lGaDgyY

Her sudden appearances did let up at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. Which may or may not have pleased Jason Isaacs.

While the journalists had their own celebrations, Potterheads around the world commemorated the seventeenth anniversary of the Battle of Hogwarts. Many of whom still mourn the losses.

#17YearsBattleOfHogwarts
A terrible lost opportunity for a new world order led by, well, Lord Voldemort in name but, in practice…me.

— Jason Isaacs (@jasonsfolly) May 2, 2015

Today I would just like to say: I'm really sorry about Fred. *Bows head in acceptance of your reasonable ire*

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) May 2, 2015

.@Brieuc26Rankin I thought I might apologise for one death per anniversary. Fred was the worst for me, so I started with him.

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) May 2, 2015

On the other hand, collecting her winnings should cheer up Jo (if she calls it). Not that she particularly needs it.

I wonder what odds we'd get on the royal baby being born tomorrow and called Victoria?

— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) May 1, 2015

She might have some company as it also looks like Afshan is getting on the game. Any other takers?

Predictions for me are Victoria, Elizabeth, or Penelope and I'll jump on the bandwagon and say Alice too! #royalbabygirl #names
