Social Roundup: Girl Power!

by Kevin Assam · August 30, 2015

This week saw the super art-savvy and creative female alumni of the series come out to shine: campaigning for sustainable designs, playing to the crowds at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and promoting the British Film Industry.

Emma Watson not only began her press tour for Regression but also unveiled her Green Carpet challenge to great fanfare from her fashion followers and sustainable design supporters.

She also released a new #HeForShe campaign video that starred quite a number of familiar faces from the fashion industry.

Natalia Tena similarly joined the campaign circuit to fund her latest album, Tropical Gypsies. Molotov Jukebox is of course offering quite the the trove of rewards for any backers.

Naturally, after weeks of hilarious Twitter marketing, Jessie Cave’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe’s comedy show was met with rave reviews.

Thank you @guardian ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.. ! "emotionally naked comedy" – that sounds about right…. #ilovedher @FollowTheCow http://t.co/yXROfQFyxx

We hope Anna Shaffer was able to fit a viewing into her tight itinerary.

Plus, in a few days Evanna Lynch will be able to celebrate the release of her BBC One film Danny and the Human Zoo…

… but before then she can certainly take pride in this small victory.

Meanwhile, Helena Bonham-Carter was spotted with her original parasol from the film Room With a View as she helped launch the British Museum’s BFI Love!

Last but not least, J.K. Rowling proved once again that she will always be a proud and doting mother when it comes to her wizard children. Warts and all.

So proud of my boys. Even after all these years, they still want to kick each other's arses. pic.twitter.com/nwQI7s4jka
