Social Media Roundup: Halloween and… a Hippo?

by Michele Berg · November 5, 2017

The alumni have been quite busy these last two weeks with Halloween costumes to plan, plays to attend, and lists to make.

J. K. Rowling thrilled the West End cast of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child with a personal visit in London, and she later tweeted that it was about the 12th time she’s seen the play from beginning to end!

Dame Maggie Smith (Professor McGonagall) enjoyed an evening of theater and celebration at the Bridge Theatre in London, which opened its first play in the new building near the end of October.

We’re delighted to be joined by so many friends to celebrate our inaugural play, #YoungMarx, at our new home. More: https://t.co/GXON2R4Nha pic.twitter.com/FhN1V1N5Yd

Warwick Davis could easily give you ten reasons to watch the second series of his game show, Tenable!

Yes, this series is all new #Tenable, and in my humble (slightly biased) opinion, more entertaining than the first. Enjoy! https://t.co/P4jY6avr5F

Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood) tweeted excitedly about her newest project, a vegan podcast she is starting next week.

Took my sweet time but my new very fun and cool vegan podcast finally launches next Wednesday ? https://t.co/BAkxzU4Z8n

Jason Isaacs (Lucius Malfoy) and Natalie Tena (Nymphadora Tonks) both seemed to be thoroughly enjoying celebrating Halloween, but we’re not too sure about Devon Murray (Seamus Finnigan)!

12 year old post pennywise bite. One small advantage of having a dad as an actor. The other is, er…nope. That’s actually it. Good make-up on Halloween. And a reason to study at school.

Do kids not say trick or treat when they knock at the door anymore?Around 100 kids at the door so far and they just stand with the bag open.

Finishing off this roundup, we have to thank James Phelps (Fred Weasley) for retweeting such an adorable picture. Who can resist a baby hippo!
