Video: First theatrical trailer for “The Bling Ring” starring Emma Watson
Yahoo! Movies has exclusively released a new trailer for the upcoming film The Bling Ring, which you can check out above.
Co-produced, written, and directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker Sofia Coppola, The Bling Ring is based on a true story of a group of six teenagers who rob the homes of celebrities in the Los Angeles area. The list of victims include Audrina Patridge, Rachel Bilson, Orlando Bloom, Megan Fox, Lindsay Lohan, and Paris Hilton.
On her decision to take on the role as Nicki, Emma Watson notes: “When I read the script and I realized that essentially it was a meditation on fame and what it’s become to our society, I had to do it. The character is everything that I felt strongly against.”
The Bling Ring will be released in theatres on June 14, 2013.
