Fan Art of the Week: “Hagrid’s Hut for Zoey”

This week’s fan art submission comes from Sheena in the form a rather familiar looking building that she designed and built for her cat, Zoey. It’s a miniature of Hagrid’s Hut, constructed from layers of cardboard, laster wrap and paint. You can see the entire kitty-construction project on her website, as well as a hi-res photo of the final piece in our image viewer.

Noah’s Notes: This Potter craft is very much a work of art. Each individual stone panel was painted with little touches of brown and white to create a believable representation of Hagrid’s Hut, and I think Sheena really succeeded in that. I’d even say it’s built such that Hagrid himself wouldn’t know the difference if he was tired and needed to have a wee nap! Or…that would certainly be the case if Sheena’s house wasn’t many times too small, with a cat in it.
