Julie Walters is set to be given a prestigious BAFTA Fellowship next month. BBC News reports that Walters will be recognized for her contribution to film and TV, where she first gained recognition partnering with the comedian Victoria Wood in shows such as “Wood and Walters”.
The 2014 BAFTA nominations are in, and several talented “Potter” cast members have scored nominations!
Both Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint walked away happy campers from this year’s WhatsOnStage Awards which was held Sunday. Hosted at the Prince of Wales Theatre, currently home to The Book of Mormon, the WhatsOnStage Awards celebrate the best of West End and British theater. The awards are an annual affair and are attended by the stars and public alike, and were once again hosted by comedians Rufus Hound and Mel Giedroyc.

“Prisoner of Azkaban” director Alfonso Cuarón’s winning streak has continued this award season with the top prize given by the Directors Guild of America (DGA) for his sci-fi feature, “Gravity.” The award was presented to him by last year’s winner, Ben Affleck.
In the first ever tie for top prize at the Producers Guild Awards, Alfonso Cuarón and David Heyman took home the Darryl F. Zanuck Award for Outstanding Producer of Theatrical Motion Pictures for Gravity, alongside the producers of 12 Years a Slave.
Alfonso Cuarón and David Heyman are set for a successful awards season with their film “Gravity,” a hit among critics and moviegoers alike. This past Friday, January 10, they won Best Film, and Cuarón picked up Best Direction at the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA) International Awards.
Ralph Fiennes (Lord Voldemort) is set to receive the Honorary Dragon Award, a lifetime achievement honor, from Sweden’s Goteborg International Film Festival.
