Ralph Fiennes to accept lifetime achievement award at Sweden’s Goteborg Festival

Ralph Fiennes (Lord Voldemort) is set to receive the Honorary Dragon Award, a lifetime achievement honor, from Sweden’s Goteborg International Film Festival.

Aside from Harry Potter, Fiennes has appeared in many major films, including Schindler’s List, The English Patient, Skyfall, and The Reader, the first two of which earned him Academy Award nominations. He made his directorial debut in 2011 with the adaptation of Shakespeare’s Coriolanus. He can next be seen in the upcoming film The Grand Budapest Hotel, which will premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival on February 6 and will be released in theaters on March 7.

The festival runs from January 24 to February 3 in Gothenburg, Sweden, and Fiennes will be in attendance. Some highly anticipated films screening at the event include Inside Llewyn Davis, Her, and Dallas Buyers Club.

Congratulations, Ralph!

I have been a fan of Harry since 2000, a fan of MuggleNet since 2005, and a MuggleNet team member since 2013. I believe in the power of stories to bring people together, and nothing does that quite like Harry Potter. I live in Toronto, Canada.
