Fandom videos spotlight: Fun with LEGOs

To celebrate the upcoming release of the new video game, LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7, this week’s fan videos were chosen because they have to do with turning stop-motion LEGO animations of Potter characters into videos that follow a narrative.

Our first fan video is actually a “cover” of another fan video. In “LEGO Potter Puppet Pals, The Mysterious Ticking Noise,” the very famous original Potter Puppet Pals created by Neil Cicierega are given a LEGO treatment, and perhaps their most commonly reproduced sketch, “The Mysterious Ticking Noise,” is LEGO-ified. View this excellent LEGO video below, and you can view the original video that this is based on at this link.

Our next video is a clever re-enactment of the scene from the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 film where the trio, on the run, encounter Death Eaters at a cafe. Check this video out below.

LEGO Harry Potter, Years 5-7 will be released on November 11, the same day as Deathly Hallows – Part 2 hits store shelves. Find the LEGO game on Facebook here.
