The two time Western Cup champions Arizona State University Sun Devils (Tempe, AZ) are preparing to defend their regional crown and dominance this weekend at the highly anticipated Western Cup III. Upstate rivals Northern Arizona University (Flagstaff, AZ) and Los Angeles powerhouses University of California at Los Angeles (Los Angeles, CA), and the University of Southern California (Los Angeles, CA) are among the strongest title contenders. University of California, Berkeley (Berkeley, CA) can sit easy if they remember what it took for them to knock out ASU at the World Cup last November. Rounding out the top-contenders, the Snow Cup champions University of Utah Crimson Flyers (Salt Lake City, UT) weigh heavy on the mind of any team looking for an easy victory.

If the Sun Devils want to retain their glory and make it three cup victories in a row, they must overcome strong teams like NAU, USC, UCLA and Utah-and don’t be surprised if other teams rise to the occasion to challenge for the title Western Champion. At the end of the weekend, only one champion will be the one left standing at high noon in the third installment of the Western Cup.
