Camp 9¾ – a Harry Potter Camp Conference coming Fall 2013

Camp 9 3/4 is a non-profit, Harry Potter camp-conference hosted by fans and tailored to adult fans in order to discuss, debate and analyze the Harry Potter series in a very unique way. Fans from all over are gathering Columbus Day weekend, October 11-15, 2013 in Marble Falls, TX for a conference unlike any other. The camp-conference is suitable for ages 16 to 96 and is a 5-day, judgement-free, fan-filled exclusive experience where the entire camp facility is being reserved for the conference attendees only.

The camp-conference will have hours of traditional programming like fans are used to, but all done so while under the impression of being in a “summer camp for witches and wizards” due to hosting most of the programming outside: like book debates under the trees or character analysis under a pavilion. As well as academic and informal programming, camp activities will be provided, like swimming in the lake, bouncing on a blob, jet skis, archery, rock wall climbing and so much more.

The days will consist of IQA teams playing and teaching Quidditch on the field, academic and informal programming, activities and workshops, while the nights will consist of campfires, s’mores, firewhiskey and a lot of live wizard rock. Camp 9 3/4 has already booked eight wizard rock bands for the event: The Whomping Willows, Lauren Fairweather, The Blibbering Humdingers, Kwikspell, Hawthorn & Holly, Miss Parkinson, Snidget and the Sweetwater All Stars, with even more bands to come.
