First look at Rupert Grint in “Enemy of Man”, PLUS new video and interview!

Harry Potter fans have by now become quite used to seeing updates about the busy schedules of Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson, and this season Rupert Grint has quite a busy schedule of his own! The star has not one but two much-hyped films, CBGB and Charlie Countryman, that he has been doing publicity for, and he is appearing on stage in the West End in the play Mojo. In the midst of all this, Rupert has made a flurry of media appearances promoting his projects, and we’ve got the latest ones here for you!

First, watch the short behind-the-scenes clip of Rupert on the set of Charlie Countryman, where he seems to have found himself in an, erm, sticky situation! The release date for this film has been set for just a couple of weeks from now – November 15 – so be sure to check it out in theaters soon!

Rupert also appears in the latest issue of fashion retailer ASOS’s online magainze (check him out on pages 60-62!), where he, like many other members of the Harry Potter cast, explains how he is trying to move his career away from his Potter persona:

Around the fourth film, the magic wore off… When I was a teenager, when there was a temptation to rebel, I had nothing to rebel against. I was doing what I loved and had a minimal amount of school work… [When the series ended] it was a mixture of emotions. It was the end of an era, and it suddenly finished. It was emotional on the day. One of the first things I did afterwards was have my tonsils taken out… I’ll never forget that period in my life. It’s a big part of me, but it was really refreshing to go out and do something on my own and find out what I’m about and what sort of work I want to do.

A few new photos of Rupert also appear in ASOS’s magazine, so be sure to check out the full interview!

Finally, we’ve got a first look of Rupert in yet another project – Macbeth adaptation Enemy of Man. In the film, which also stars Sean Bean as Macbeth himself, Rupert will portray Ross, a Scottish nobleman. The photos look pretty intense – it looks like Enemy of Man will show a side of Rupert that fans have never seen before.

That’s all for this Rupert update! Which of his new projects are you looking forward to most?

I've been making magic at MuggleNet since 2012, when I first joined the staff as a News intern. I've never wavered from the declaration in my childhood journal, circa October 2000: "I LOVE Harry Potter! If I clean my room, my mom says she'll make me a dinner a wizard would love!" Proud Gryffindor; don't hate.
