“Grand Budapest Hotel” to be recreated in London for UK premiere!

The Grand Budapest Hotel, which stars Ralph Fiennes and has just won the Jury Grand Prize at the Berlin Film Festival, has a very special promotional event in store for the film’s UK premiere – a recreation of the hotel itself in London!

The recreation of the hotel is part of a screening event that is being organized by Secret Cinema, a company that decorates warehouses like film sets for special showings of films. Secret Cinema has often hosted these immersive screenings for classic movies but is branching out into new releases as well.

The Grand Budapest Hotel will be recreated, complete with dining rooms, restaurants and a spa, at a secret location to coincide with the film’s UK release date in March (14). Secret Cinema’s artistic director Fabien Riggall says of the screening, ‘When you do Dirty Dancing or Lost Boys people have played the film in their minds constantly. But this has the added benefit of being a surprise.’
