Calling all Bay Area wizards!

Chute 212, an upcoming Harry Potter conference happening this July, is holding a promotional photo shoot this very weekend in Santa Rosa, CA. They are inviting costumed wizards and witches to participate in group photographs (and even some video!), which will be distributed as print advertising around the Bay Area and used in a variety of ways on their conference website to promote the celebration of Harry Potter and their upcoming conference.

The photo shoot will be taking place against a green screen backdrop, and everyone interested is asked to register for a date and time between Saturday, March 8 and Sunday, March 9. From the directors:

“We need: witches and wizards of all ages; representatives of all school houses; cosplayers; witches and wizards dressed in attire fit for a ball. If you are so inclined, we would love to have a person pose as a portrait that will be used as a live action portal on the website.

Photos will be taken of: witches and wizards holding props and sitting in groups; dancing; talking; working with wands; jumping; carousing; and generally promoting a good time to be had.”

This is a Bring-Your-Own-Wand (BYOW) event! People of all ages are welcome. Children under eighteen will need to be accompanied by and have a release form signed by a parent or guardian. So if you’re looking for something to do this weekend, why not grab your friends, sign up for a time slot, and go be wizards in front of a camera! Even more details can be found on the event’s Facebook page.
