How did you become a Harry Potter fan?
I started when the Sorcerer’s Stone came to the US, and I saw a book with a boy flying on a broom. Well, when you’re about six years old, there’s not really any questioning it. You want to read that book. So without knowing what it was or what it was about, I just brought it to my mom and asked her to buy it for me. Being a teacher, she loves to see kids read. So she bought it for me. I now own all books, all audio books, and all movies.
If you could have one prop from the set of the films, which would it be?
Well, that depends. If the prop is a working prop, I would love to have the Firebolt! Quidditch is one of my favorite things about the books. If the prop is not working and is just a prop that would be neat to have, I would want the Sorting Hat because who doesn’t want a Sorting Hat prop??
What Potter fandom memory would you keep in your Pensieve?
I would have to keep the first time I read each book. The excitement of waiting in line to get the book. Of being able to open a brand new book, no spoilers, no talk about it of any kind, and just being able to enjoy an amazing read. Those memories are the ones worth keeping.
Describe what being part of the Harry Potter fandom has meant to you in seven words or less.
Great quotes, great memories, great reads.
